Dr. Hanna Ekstrom, DVM
Executive Director and Founder Dr. Hanna has been a veterinarian for over 25 years. She graduated with honors from Cornell in 1992, and has worked in private practice ever since. In the past she has worked providing veterinary care in underserved countries, however now she's turning her focus towards our local community - Seattle. She founded Seattle Veterinary Outreach in the hopes that providing veterinary care to pets of people living homeless could serve as a first step on the road to better health for pet and owner alike. She is excited to become a Clinical Scholar Fellow with her team members to add human health services to Outreach Clinics. |

Jessica Wheeler, BSN, RN-BC
Chief of Nursing Jessica Lowery graduated from Seattle University in 2006 with her Bachelors of Nursing degree and has since worked closely with the houseless and other underrepresented groups at both Tacoma General Hospital and Harborview Medical Center. Her experience in healthcare covers various areas from acute to intensive care and everything in between. She has recently had the desire to shift her focus from inpatient care to meeting patients where they are to improve their quality of life. She has seen the difficulty some people have had with accessing high quality health care and her goal is to reduce the barriers they face in whatever way she can. Jessica strongly believes that healthcare is a right not a privilege, because without good health, nothing else matters. |
